Donatienne officially launched in Summer 2011 by designer Nikki Erwin. Nikki created the brand because she saw a gap in the handbag market for California style at attainable prices. Having always been attracted to color and function in a bag, she wanted to encourage women to use her bags as an effortless pop of style. It was important to her to offer a contemporary price point so that every girl had the opportunity to own a Donatienne.
Spring 2016 season marked the launch of Donatienne 2.0. After five great years, we felt that the Donatienne girl had matured. Our goal was to offer a little more sophistication while maintaining our same California spirit. We partnered up with a new manufacturing facility that allowed us to do more complicated construction, shape, customization, and higher-quality make. Although the bags have taken a new direction, Donatienne 2.0 maintains the founding objective of making color more neutral and effortless.
The new Donatienne differentiates from the rest because our brand is approachable, encourages you to have more fun with fashion, and has those genuine California roots.
